I just realized that the last time I actually updated this was when Mike updated it. That simply WILL NOT DO.

Not a lot's been going on recently, unfortunately. Still looking for a job, and generally just hanging out in the meantime. Having a good time though, so it's not a total wash.

I actually remembered Valentine's day. Yay. I bought my mom a teddy bear and an ADORABLE card. I had to get it. It was adorable. Duh.

Went out for lunch a few minutes ago, got some Subway. Good stuff. Sat down to eat, took a bite, and a bunch of kids (Around 17-ish, I'd wager) asked me to come over and sit with them. Ate lunch with 'em, had a good time. It was AWESOME. <3 Random people.

I had a whole big thing I was going to say when I came here, but I forgot what it was. Maybe this time Mike will remember to pester me so I'll keep updating and I'll remember at some point in the future. Or something. Who knows?

I managed to get into Drawing thanks to Paul, so I'm set for classes this semester.

And I should update my LJ more. And give Mike money. Or sex. Or money for sex.

Oh, and I didn't mention the AWESOME and FREE Cheap Trick concert Paul and I went to. I got TWO guitar picks, I think. And I nearly sprained my ankle being stupid, but WHO CARES. It was better than awesome.

Plus Mike might be getting WoW soon-ish, which is the next best thing to a Cheap Trick concert with Paul. Rock on and stuff.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the movie. The acting (Excluding Hayden Christensen) was wither on par with or better than any of the other movies, and the events were far more interesting than the events of 1 or 2. A few notes:

R2-D2 in the first sequence was a thousand times more annoying than Jar Jar ever was. God damn uberness.

Grieveous deserved better than death by blaster pistol. He could've at LEAST been lightsabered. Also, when his wheel folded it's legs away it was a lot cooler than I had expected from the toy.

The Darth Vader voice was horribly done, and the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" has surpassed Luke's "It's not true ... it's IMPOSSIBLE" from Empire Strikes Back as Hammiest Line Ever.

Jedi seemed to suck a lot more than they did in any other movie.

Yoda shouldn't be flipping around like a ninja. He should be waving his hand and smashing royal guards into the doorframe arbitrarily.

The wookies felt like they were just tacked on to say 'OMG YODA KNEW CHEWBACCA" and that just wasn't Kosher. The tarzan yell sucked too.

Overall though, I still enjoyed it (Saw the midnight showing, and I only bought my ticket 8 hours before then) I'd say it isn't as good as 4 or 6, it's better than 1 or 2, and it's on par with 5.

Anyway, other than that not a lot has been going on. It's Paul's birthday today, so we're going to hang out. I also ordered Monster Rancher 4, because I'm jonesin' for some Monster Rancher.

Helped my sister move back in for the summer, so we've hung out a little recently. She didn't want to go see Star Wars with me, though, and Kelly isn't coming back into town for another week ;_;

So yeah. Not a lot going on here, but there's a little update because Mike's being a good boy and pestering me like he's supposed to.

Still putting off the haircut thing. Whee <_< Spent the weekend out, Family was home by the time I got back. I have a test tomorrow in German, hope I do well =x Mostly I just sorta hung out, I've been spending more time with Paul recently which is totally awesome. Uh ... that's really about it. I'd expound on my weekend wheelings and dealings but there's really not a lot to say. Maybe later if I get bored and stil can't sleep.

Went out for lunch with Paul, and later we went out to play war machine. I've had no luck getting a job recently, and I'm left with no alternative.

Weekend stuffs

Went out Friday to see Sin City. Met the guys and picked out a theater. We realized that we weren't exactly sure how to get to EITHER of the two theaters we knew of. Then, out of the blue, we remembered there was a theater in Mid-City Mall, about 30 minutes from the house WALKING. So we all went out to the mall.

We got there ~2:30. The movie started at 4:35. So we walked across the parking lot and got some Skyline Chili. They still remember me there =P After Chili, we debated stopping by the bouncy ball vending machine and playing Mallball, but we decided we wanted NOT to be thrown out. We loitered for a while, and then watched the movie.

After that we went over to Houston's. Hung out with Paul, played some Warcraft, started a Warcraft P&P RPG game. I made a Tauren healer, because the one in the book is soooooooooo kyooooooooooooooot ^-^

Now I'm back home, watching the house for a week. Yays.

My Auto-date thing on the update page keeps setting itself to January 2, 1997. Weird <_< So, Spring Break is almost over. I wasted the week, but it was awesome wasting. Hung out with Paul, discussed comic stuff, the works. Also found this awesome quote today, from Robert Heinlein. So, 've been sleeping a lot recently. You might say "so what? 8 hours a night? that's actually normal." But that isn't the case. I just sort of fall asleep all the time, for no particular reason. I'm eating, I'm going to class, I'm spending time with my friends, and basically what I always do, it's just that I've started sleeping whenever I'm not doing one of those things. More recently, I've started sleeping while in the midst of said activities. What has been confusing me the most about these occurences is that it actually started to bother me, although I couldn't see anything wrong. After all, I'm still healthy, and still enjoying the time I spend awake. So what if I'm only up for half a day at a time?

But then, earlier today, while I was listening to "Love Again Tonight" on a DDR megamix CD, it hit me. It isn't so much of a recent occurence as it seemed. (tense continuity be damned!) It's nature's simplest form of symbolism, my body showing me physical symptoms of the way I've been for a long, long time. I sit back and let life float by. For the longest time, I have believed this to be an ideal lifestyle. I rarely have to put forward much effort, and I get all the time I want to watch the world go by, taking in whatever I please. Ah, to be so gullible.

I was asleep. For all these years, Ive been sleeping in the back room while the world went by without me. All of my "observations" and "accomplishments" were nothing more than fleeting images, made to seem bright by the marvelous lens of a dream. All this time I was sleeping, while there was a world to see when I was awake. I was so rarely happy, because I lived in a dream. I'd wake up for a day or two, taste the sweetest fruits of reality, and drift off again into a peaceful, ignorant slumber. And I was content, because I thought that was the way things were meant to be.

When I look at it now, in a sad sort of way, it all seems quite funny.

Anyway, now that I got that out of my system, things have actually been going pretty swankily here in KY. I've got a 4.0 In college (=o) And I found an art teacher who lets me sit in on his class and help with stuff (even though I don't get a credit :p) This means that my "dead time" during the day is now filleed up with awesome. Hoo-ray!

My computer is still icky, but that can't be helped. At least, not by me. Right now I'm looking for a job to move back out, and if I do it'll be PARTY TIME AGAIN! Ok not really, and I go out from Friday-Monday every week anyway. But still, it'll be awesome. I did miss the Warmachine Tourney this weekend though ;_;

School's been alright. Art test = cake. If I'd paid more attention in class I'd've known it was multiple choice. <_< Math was Math, and I actually did my homework again! Yay! I thought that Megan (Girl in my group) wasn't going to show up with the paper typed, but she did, and all was well. She finally noticed that yes, my mother was her Math teacher and hers was my German Teacher. Small world. German was awesome, as usual. This can generally be assumed for all German classes from here until forever. Me an' Paul started working on a comic, currently called "Lune" by me for the sake of having a name. And because I don't want to steal "Necro and his Super Friends" from Blake. Tonight the computer gets fixed! Sound = yesplz.

So I had a nice weekend.

First off: Christmas. Rock on. Hung out with the family, hung out online with the friends, hung out at the friends' house with the friends. Just got home half an hour ago, but my head is pain.

But I got a ~18" Kyo Plushie, so all is well.

Essentially, it went thusly.

Friday:

Church with the paternal family (we celebrated christmas last sunday when my uncle was in town) The opening procession included the parading of a porcelain jesus figurine and I honestly expected the priest to ask us to take out or D20's and make a save vs. blasphemy. They went on to discuss "The Geneology of Jesus" which, for those who have never had the pleasure of hearing it, is a list of names from Abraham to Joseph. Which raises a question.

If jesus was the son of GOD, why trace his geneology via joseph? This would seem to spit in the face of the core tenet of christian belief. Unless it is meant to imply that your father is the one who raises you, not merely the one who impregnated your mother. Of course, that ALSO spits in the face of the "son of god" thing. Ah well, it wasn't too terribly bad.

What was bad was shoveling the driveway that morning. Ice sucks.

Saturday:

Christmas. Opened presents, hung out with family, the maternal family came into town from wherever they reside when they aren't at christmas or thanksgiving, and we had a good time. Rock.

Sunday:

Went for christmas with the buddies. Couldn't get a ride, so I went to catch a bus. There are few things as intersting as talking to someone at a bus stop for 40 minutes. Talking to strangers has been one of my greatest sources of relief and support throughout my life, and has led to many interesting conversations. I think the isolationism preached to children nowadays is somewhat misguided.

Anyway, hung out with the guys (well, some of 'em), exchanged gifts, watched Spiderman 2 and Red Dragon, Played some video games, and had a generally good time.

Oh, and they still remember me at the Skyline Chili. Rock ****ing On.

Oh, and I won $100.00 on a scratch off lottery ticket in my stocking =x

Monday:

More hanging out with the guys (by the time we'd done the exchange gifts thing, it was too late to catch a ride home) Got Brian to watch some of Fruits Basket, even though Ash said it would make him depressed.

Then it turns out Andrew is in Ohio or some other not-here place, and Houston showed up late, so we only got to hang out for a little while. A little more gift exchanging and talking about nothing, and we parted ways when my ride home got there. Now I'm here. Yays.
